The Network and Data Center Engineer will be our hands-on resource in Bangladesh, primarily responsible for Data centre-related activities and on-site data centre/customer site support. The role involves deploying, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise networking, network security, and data centre infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of critical systems. The engineer should be able to provide console and internet access support directly from data centres and customer sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Deploy, monitor, and maintain LAN/WAN and data center infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls.
Provide on-site support in Bangladesh for data center and customer locations.
Deploy, monitor, and maintain LAN/WAN and data center infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls.
Perform hands-on operations for Cisco ACI (single pod experience is a must, theoretical knowledge on Multi-Pod & Multi-Site will suffice).
Perform basic hands-on operations for Firewall maintenance, upgrades, and incident troubleshooting.
Document infrastructure and support DR drills and capacity planning.
Collaborate with IT and application teams on infrastructure planning and compliance.
Qualifications:
3+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking and data center environments, with proven expertise in Cisco ACI, specifically single pod deployments.
They should also possess theoretical knowledge of ACI Multi-Pod and Multi-Site, along with strong troubleshooting skills to provide on-site console and internet access support.
Basic firewall knowledge is required to support network security operations.
Proficiency in Cisco technologies, virtualization platforms, and structured high-availability environments will be highly valued, as the engineer will serve as the on-ground extension of the remote team in Bangladesh.
