As a Networking Pre-Sales Intern, you will support NCINGA’s pre-sales and solution design initiatives, working closely with the technical and sales teams to deliver tailored networking solutions for clients across Sri Lanka, Singapore, Dubai, and Australia. Your responsibilities will include assisting in preparing proposals, creating technical documentation, conducting product research, and participating in solution design discussions. This role is ideal for someone eager to develop technical and commercial skills in enterprise networking, gain hands on exposure to customer engagement, and contribute to delivering innovative networking solutions within a dynamic technology environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of technical proposals, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and solution documentation.
Support the pre-sales team in gathering customer requirements and mapping them to suitable solutions.
Participate in solution design discussions, under the guidance of senior engineers.
Prepare and maintain presentation materials, diagrams, and network designs for customer meetings.
Conduct basic product research and competitive analysis to support solution positioning.
Assist in preparing responses to RFPs/RFQs, ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to obtain technical and commercial information..
KPIs:
Prepare and deliver a minimum of 3–5 technical proposals, Bill of Materials (BOMs), or solution documents per week in line with project and client requirements.
Successfully gather and document customer requirements for at least 2–3 opportunities per week, ensuring ≥90% accuracy in aligning them to proposed solutions.
Create or update a minimum of 2–3 presentation decks, diagrams, or network design documents per week to support customer meetings and proposals.
Conduct at least 1 product or competitor research activity per week, summarizing findings for the pre-sales team within agreed timelines.
Contribute to the preparation of responses for 2–3 RFPs/RFQs per month, ensuring compliance with technical and commercial requirements.
Complete onboarding and achieve functional proficiency in relevant tools (MS Office, Visio, CRM, and diagramming tools) within the first month.
Qualifications:
B.Sc. Graduate or Undergraduate in Telecommunication, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related field.
Basic understanding of networking concepts; CCNA-level knowledge is an advantage.
Interest in learning about solution design, proposal development, and sales processes.
Strong skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with Visio or diagramming tools is a plus.
Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, IT, Communications, or a related field.
