As a Data and Machine Learning Lead, you will lead NCINGA’s data-driven initiatives by designing scalable data architectures, building reliable pipelines, and applying AI/ML where it creates business value. You will guide cross-functional teams and collaborate with customers to translate business needs into data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and implementation of modern data platforms, pipelines, and integration frameworks.
Oversee data governance, quality, and lifecycle management to ensure reliable analytics and reporting.
Apply AI/ML techniques where relevant to enhance automation, prediction, and decision-making.
Guide the adoption of cloud-native data and ML solutions on GCP and AWS.
Collaborate with customers to understand requirements and design end- to-end data solutions.
Create dashboards, reporting tools, and data visualisations for actionable business insights.
Establish best practices for data architecture, performance optimization, and security.
Mentor and coach data engineers and ML practitioners, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
Coordinate with architects, product teams, and business stakeholders to align solutions with enterprise strategy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
5+ years of experience in data engineering, pipeline development, and ML solution design.
2+ years of experience in technical leadership and customer-facing solution delivery.
Hands-on expertise with GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Vertex AI) and AWS (SageMaker, EMR, S3).
Familiarity with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit- learn.
Skilled in Apache Beam, PySpark, Airflow, and data warehousing (BigQuery, Snowflake).
Advanced programming skills in Python and SQL.
Proficiency with visualization and BI tools such as Looker, Grafana, Tableau, and Looker Studio.
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Cloud certifications in data/ML engineering are an advantage.
