Senior Infrastructure Consultant & Technical Lead (Dell/Hyper-V/Windows Server)
We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior Infrastructure Consultant to spearhead critical project initiatives in Kuala Lumpur. This pivotal role involves leading the successful implementation of Dell Compute, Hyper-V, and Windows Server solutions, serving as the primary technical liaison for the customer and their subcontractors. You will be responsible for the comprehensive technical design and delivery of key infrastructure domains, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
Key Resposibilities:
Technical Leadership: Act as the on-site technical lead, collaborating with the client Project Manager to manage customer expectations and coordinate with subcontractors.
Design & Architecture: Take ownership of the overall technical design for Compute, Virtualization (Hyper-V), Windows Server OS, Active Directory, Backup, and SQL domains. Provide significant contributions to High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation within your areas of expertise.
Implementation & Delivery: Lead and execute the implementation, configuration, testing, and handover of Dell Compute, Hyper-V, Windows Server, and Active Directory solutions.
System & Application Support: Offer expert guidance in Windows Server OS management, Active Directory administration, and application installation support.
Issue Management: Proactively identify, escalate, and manage the resolution of technical issues with the client project team, ensuring timely and effective outcomes.
Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Dell Compute: Demonstrated expertise in Dell server hardware, including installation and management.
Hyper-V: In-depth knowledge of Hyper-V virtualization, encompassing clustering, networking, and storage.
Windows Server OS: Strong command of multiple Windows Server versions (e.g., 2016, 2019, 2022), including roles, features, and troubleshooting.
Active Directory: Expert-level proficiency in Active Directory design, implementation, Group Policy Object (GPO) management, and troubleshooting.
Backup Solutions: Familiarity with enterprise-grade backup strategies and technologies.
SQL: Understanding of SQL Server environments, including basic setup and high-availability concepts.
Application Installation: Experience with supporting and troubleshooting enterprise application deployments.
Soft Skills:
Strong Leadership: Ability to guide technical teams, manage stakeholders, and drive project success.
Excellent Communication: Articulate and clear in both verbal and written communication, capable of engaging with technical and non-technical audiences.
Client & Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to effectively manage customer relationships, expectations, and subcontractor coordination.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical challenges.
Proactive & Organized: Self-motivated, with excellent time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple priorities.
Experience:
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in senior infrastructure roles with hands-on experience in the specified technologies.
Proven track record as a technical lead on complex IT infrastructure projects.
