We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to provide critical database support for a key project. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining robust, high-performing, and highly available SQL Server environments while collaborating remotely with the core project team.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Architecture: Lead and contribute to High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation for SQL Server solutions, including architecture, high availability, and disaster recovery.
Implementation & Delivery: Oversee and execute the installation, configuration, migration, testing, and handover of SQL Server instances and databases.
Performance Optimization: Proactively monitor, tune, and optimize SQL Server performance for maximum efficiency and responsiveness.
High Availability & Disaster Recovery: Implement and manage SQL Server high availability solutions (e.g., Always On Availability Groups, Failover Cluster Instances) and develop robust disaster recovery strategies.
- Microsoft SQL Server: Expert-level proficiency across multiple versions (e.g., 2016, 2019, 2022).
- Database Administration: In-depth experience with all facets of SQL Server administration, including installation, configuration, patching, performance tuning, security management, backup/recovery, and monitoring.
- High Availability & DR: Proven experience with SQL Server Always On Availability Groups (AGs), Failover Cluster Instances (FCIs), and other replication technologies.
- T-SQL: Strong ability to write and optimize complex T-SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Backup Solutions: Familiarity with enterprise-grade backup strategies and technologies.
- SQL: Understanding of SQL Server environments, including basic setup and high-availability concepts.
- Windows Server OS: Solid understanding of Windows Server operating systems as they relate to SQL Server deployments.
