The Systems Engineer is responsible for administering, maintaining, and supporting enterprise-grade IT infrastructure solutions, including Windows/Linux servers, virtualization platforms (VMware, Redhat Openshift, KVM), and network environments. This role requires hands-on technical proficiency in deploying, configuring, and managing both on-premise and hybrid cloud ecosystems. The engineer will also provide L2/L3 support across systems, virtualization, backup, and networking domains.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) and Windows Server environments including installation, patching, and configuration.
Administer and troubleshoot Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Exchange, and O365 environments.
Deploy and manage virtualization environments (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization).
Configure and manage storage and backup platforms including Veeam, Networker, Arcserve, and Data Domain.
Implement network configurations including VLANs, trunking, link aggregation, wireless controllers, and firewall policies.
Provide support for enterprise server hardware (HPE, Dell EMC, IBM) and related firmware and OS-level updates.
Monitor systems using tools like Zabbix, PRTG, Nagios and respond to alerts/incidents per SLA.
Support project deployments including VM migrations, network upgrades, and datacenter transitions.
Maintain detailed documentation for infrastructure, support activities, and knowledge base.
Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure high system availability and performance.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role.
Strong hands-on experience in Windows, Linux, VMware/Hyper-V, and basic networking.
Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) preferred.
Exposure to enterprise storage, firewall management, and monitoring tools.
Ability to work independently and in dynamic project environments.
Excellent documentation, troubleshooting, and customer service skills.

Uptime and performance metrics of critical infrastructure.
Timely completion of assigned deployments and upgrade projects.
Compliance with security policies and backup success rates.
