We are seeking a seasoned and forward-thinking Senior Project Manager to join us. In this pivotal role, you will lead high-impact software, product development, and AI/ML/data science projects, blending traditional project management with agile methodologies. You’ll also mentor teams on agile practices and ensure seamless execution using tools like JIRA.
Key Responsibilities:
Primarily lead end-to-end software, product development, and AI/ML/data science projects.
Define and manage project scope, goals, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, including data scientists, engineers, and product teams.
Serve as a Scrum Master, facilitating all agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Mentor and coach cross-functional teams on agile principles and practices, fostering a culture of agility and continuous improvement.
Coordinate with data science and AI/ML teams to manage research cycles, model development, validation, and production deployment activities.
Drive alignment between business objectives and project outcomes, ensuring clear and effective communication across technical and non-technical teams.
Leverage JIRA for project planning, tracking, and reporting across diverse workstreams.
Ensure optimal resource allocation, balancing priorities across software engineering and AI/data science teams.
Monitor and control project budgets, timelines, risks, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies, particularly around complex data and AI-driven initiatives.
Promote delivery excellence through process optimization and stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
10+ years of project management experience, with a proven track record in software, product, and AI/ML/data science project delivery.
Experience working on strategic technology initiatives under a CTO office or similar leadership function.
Strong understanding of agile methodologies and demonstrated ability to mentor teams in agile practices.
Hands-on experience managing AI/ML and data science workflows, including coordination of model development, training, testing, and deployment.
Expertise in JIRA for project tracking, sprint planning, and reporting.
PMP certification is highly preferred.
Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI-ACP, or equivalent agile certification.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
